Description:

The fat separator looks like a measuring cup, but the spout is much lower to the bottom so the fat stays behind as you pour the liquid. Reserve warm pan juices from a cooked roast by carefully pouring them into the fat separator. The fat will rise to the top as the liquid cools, and the dark flavorful drippings will stay on the bottom. Use these drippings to make a gravy or sauce. Enjoy!!

It works fine but the lid does not stay on .. It's loose. You could see the fat going to the top and you pour out the juice ... but stop pouring when you get close to the fat or you will end up with the fat BACK into your sauce or soup. I made soup and I was able to remove most of the fat with this device. This is not a bad buy ... I just would like the lid to snap in better ... It's too loose.
