"False" Labelling? Jan 09, 2011
By Deborah Jensen I was extremely disappointed and annoyed that the lid to this casserole cannot go in the oven. Maybe I misunderstood the term "casserole" but I purchased this primarily for use from stovetop into oven.

Another Martha success! Nov 05, 2009
By joseph stack My dear wife, Yen-shou, is a gourmet cook, lucky for me! We just received this terrific 8.5 qt. casserole (we use it for soups). It is better than anything we have used in the past. It is perfectly flat and hugs the electric cooktop the way it should, so no heat escapes around the sides. It is large enough for our soups without spilling over. The design is superior, glass cover with of all things--a vent hole with Martha's logo. It is perfect in every way and very fairly priced. Wish we had room, I'd buy another one.
8.5 Quart Feb 06, 2012
By Andrea D. Polack This was a good purchase. Buyers however must be aware that Martha Stewart cookware comes in two shapes for an 8.5 quart pot. This is a conventional casserole, the other is more like a stock pot. Either is a good purchase. I believe the stock pot shape can only be purchased in a set.
Loves it! Dec 12, 2010
By Tabitha Rice I love love love this pot. The size is great for soups, gumbos, and jambalayas. It cooks evenly and I love the vent hole. I highly recommend it!
