This product is excellent for making gravy. The food cooks perfectly, and it is so easy to clean.

Good Roasting Pan, even survived scorching the heck out of it! Nov 03, 2010
By Nikolette Tripp
I bought this on sale at Macy's during Black Friday last year (2009). It was $20 and seemed like a great buy. I'd previously purchased a roaster prior to Thanksgiving on a Pre-Black Friday sale from Walmart that was ruined from 1gentle use and baking 1 turkey in it. That made me want one that was stainless steel really bad. I looked around and wasn't sure it would be worth it. I could just make my own roaster and "rack" with veggies, I thought. When I found this on sale I jumped at the chance to try it out. It worked perfectly and washed up well. We followed cleaning and use instructions well.
One day I made a BBQ beef dish and it was accidentally left in the oven way too long and had little juices left in the bottom. The pan was blackened and looked like it might have been ruined. After much scrubbing it still wasn't doing well so in a last ditch effort I tried one of those "Magic Erasing" sponges (for those that have a Dollar Tree store near them they always have a 2 pack for $1 vs. $2-5 at other stores). It got up the remaining black spots and we washed the pan again with gentle soap and water. I've made lots of things with the rack and without the rack. Roasted veggies do well in it. We're not typically too gentle with our cookware and this has stood up to the test.

Martha's Roaster with Rack Nov 21, 2009
I've been shopping for a good, inexpensive stainless steel roaster for about a month. I was pleasantly surprised to find it here and on sale. The product is almost exactly what I expected from Martha Stewart and Macy's. The pan is a nice size for chickens, beef and medium size turkeys or turkey breasts. The included rack keeps the food elevated out of the drippings with at least 1 1/2 inches space between the rack and the bottom of the pan. The roaster is very shiny and very pretty. My only issue is the metal is not at thick as I thought it would be. It's just a little on the thin side. Be careful if you put it on the burners to deglaze and make gravy - don't use high heat. Follow the washing instructions and be careful so it will remain mirror shiny and scratch free. Of course, I could have spent much, much more for a heavier Alclad pan, but for the price, this pan is a great buy. My one issue with the packaging was the warranty info is printed on the box. I had to cut the cardboard and peel it apart to keep the warranty info with the proof of purchase. It would have been better to have that info included on a separate card or insert.
