excellent - until I had to buy replacement blades... Mar 05, 2011
I've had this trimmer for about two weeks now and used it quite a bit. No problems so far, and when I cut thinner paper with punched edges I start from the middle on out to avoid ripping the delicate edges. The knife is still sharp and cuts easy, and the trimmer feels solid for the size. Pleased with it, hopefully it'll be easy to purchase replacement blades.
I've had to severely downgrade my rating based on the terrible replacement blades: they shred the paper rather than cutting it, the posts don't fit into the opening without force, and last night the blade protector slipped off while I was trying to get the ill fitting replacement blade out again and deeply cut the side of my index finger. None of the thus far six replacement blades have worked smoothly as did the original one. I bought the replacement blades at Michaels, and the package says "for the paper trimmer".
Since I'll be looking for a new trimmer I have to say this one is a waste of money based on its short life.

Unbelievably, it was Crooked Nov 10, 2012
Yes, I was really looking forward to getting this paper trimmer, as it had an "arm" that would help you cut paper multiple times at the same cutting line. But when I went to cut it, all my cuts were Crooked!! I thought it was me; I thought it was the paper. But no - - it was the cutter. I didn't use it right away, so it was too late to send it back. Ugh. What can you do with a crooked paper trimmer?

Just okay Nov 14, 2013
I purchased this trimmer over a year ago and it has done me well overall. I have bought replacement blades several times, but don't seem to have problems with the blades not cutting the paper well as compared to other buyers. It is however quite dangerous to replace the blades and I ended up cutting my finger pretty deeply the first time I had to do it. I give this item only 3 stars because the sliding blade piece is held in place by 4 pieces of thin, brittle plastic. One of the pieces broke on me while I was replacing the blade, so now it is only held in place by only one piece on one side. It still works just fine, but if the another piece breaks, I'll have to get a new trimmer altogether. I also don't like the slide out ruler comes out horizontally rather than swinging up like most other trimmers. I have on several occasions failed to pull the expansion all the way out and ended up cutting my paper too short.

Excellent trimmer! Jan 30, 2011
Thts is the trimmer I should have bought long ago. The other trimmer I use to use was just a waste of money . Wish I had seen this before. It would have saved me alot of mistakes. Every thing about the trimmer is very precise and has so much to offer as far as making well made crafts.

Do NOT waste your money!! Oct 14, 2011
I wasted 25.00 on this thing! It worked great until I needed a new blade and there are none to be found anywhere! The stores that sell this do not carry any blades and just look at me when I ask about them. So now I have to toss it out and go back to my old Fiskars brand one. At least I can get blades for it easily! This was a ripoff!
