Great Repunzel Invitation Aide Dec 19, 2012
By Dana Crowe

My 5 year old daughter wanted a Repunzel Bday party, so we wanted to make our own invites. I searched online, found the Martha Stewart Repunzel Invitation Guide, which on the front cover features this punch ....it is made to look like her window. It worked great! The people that rated this punch poorly apparently didn't read the directions because there is one corner of the punch that has to line up for the magnets to snap together. It is very simple, and we had not slipping or problems like some other people had. I'm glad I purchased it for this project as well as to have for others.

Poor Design Jun 13, 2012
By Elaine After purchasing several Martha Stewart hand punches and really loving them, I decided to buy this because I needed a large square shape for wedding place cards that I'm making. I was unfortunately disappointed with this product. I was planning to print out a sheet of names and table numbers on cardstock, and then punching out the names into individual little cards with this punch. When I went to test this out (and I'm glad I didn't start on the actual printout that I was planning on using), I had a very hard time lining this up to exactly where I wanted it to punch. basically, this has these really strong magnets that are supposed to snap together and hold this in place while you punch. The problem is that the magnets are so strong that when they come in contact with one another, they shift the paper punch over a bit.
I would say that if you're not planning on punching these out in a specific place on the paper, and you only need the shapes from somewhere on the paper, this might work ok, but if you're counting on lining this up perfectly over something, I would skip this, and go for some sort of hand punch.
I'm glad I opened this box very carefully because I'm going to be returning this and trying to find a hand punch with a similar design.

love the way it works Mar 14, 2011

I like being able to punch where ever I want to..and the little magnet to keep edges aligned is full of awesomeness.
Martha Stewart All Over the Page Punch, flourish square May 15, 2013
By Craftie Usually I have enjoyed using Martha Stewart products, but this one really disappointed me! No matter what type of paper I use, the edges of both the shape and the hole it leaves in the page are ragged. I tried card stock, regular paper and even thin receipt paper (which actually worked the best, but is not really realistic to use, I was just curious). I love the shape, so I may try to get it to work better before I return it.
Not for exact work Mar 23, 2013
By NYCNomNom I bought this stamp to make tags for wedding favors. I was going to print out multiple designs on one page and then punch them out with this punch. Unfortunately, you cannot get that exact with this punch. Yes, you MUST line up the corners to make sure it magnetizes correctly, but even then, it shifts the paper around too much to be functional in this way. Also, there is no window to see if it is lined up correctly unless you turn it over, so you have to line it up in the window upside down, make sure the magnets adhere properly, then turn it over to punch (which I highly recommend you do with both hands and on a lower table so that you can push straight down on it). You can get pretty close, but not close enough to make sure it's centered since it shifts a few millimeters in each direction when you put both pieces together. We changed our plan and will now be punching out of a sheet of blank paper, then we bought a rubber stamp to stamp on the design on the punched out pieces, rather than printing it out first to be punched afterwards. I am not looking forward to lining up a rubber stamp on these small pieces (especially with 180 of them), but I must assume it is more accurate to do than use this stamp around the design itself.
