Good but there is a trick to it. Apr 03, 2011

I have wanted this punch for a couple months and I finally got it today. I now see that the reviews before me are right, it does punch a very small slot. The slots are 3/16th of an inch and here I am with all this great ribbon that is 3/8 of an inch. The only ribbon this punch is designed for is gift ribbon, the shinny stuff you curl with your scissors. I found that if you punch your edge you have a little over 3/8 of an inch to the edge of the paper. So you can flip over the punch, use it upside down and going back through and lining it up, you can punch a second time to make the slot almost double its original size. It takes a bit of practice but it can be done and even if your slots aren't exactly lined up, the ribbon covers the holes well. So, while it is a little extra work to get those great patterned 3/8 inch ribbon to work with it, it comes out nice after its done. Good luck ladies!

AT FIRST I THOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT. WHEN I GOT IT, AND STARTED USING IT I QUICKLY REALIZED THAT I WASTED MONEY.
THE PUNCH CUT OUTS WERE TO SMALL TO FIT THE 1/4" RIBBON IT SAYS IT WOULD FIT. I BOUGHT RIBBON FROM AMAZON JUST TO GO WITH THE RIBBON THREAD PUNCH, BUT IT DIDN'T FIT.
THE GRID FOR SPACING DIDN'T LEAVE EVEN SPACES EITHER BETWEEN HOLES. SO IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET EVEN SPACING THROUGHOUT.

This ribbon punch is terrible. The holes are too small for any ribbon I can find. It says it works for 1/4" ribbon, but it doesn't. Don't waste your money.

I read the reviews on this edger threader after I had ordered it and was a little disappointed. However, the complaints are unfounded as its a great punch and it threads the ribbon through beautifully. It adds a lovely edge to any project. I have had heaps of comments about my cards and people want to know where I got it. As we cant get all the great stock you get in the States (I am in Australia) its nice to have something no one else has (for a short time, anyway). Well done Martha Stewart another great product!!
