Heating tool is good/decent for price Nov 16, 2010
By Samantha Rose Quintana I must say, for a $25 heat embossing tool, the Martha Stewart one isn't too bad. I gave it a 4 star review because for the price, it's good. Yeah, its not going to be something a professional will use, and will do everything without a problem. But, for something to do for yourself, friends, family, and with your kids, its pretty good. Like these products do, it will blow your paper around a little as well with powder, but what doesn't when you are using a machine that blows hot air to makes things more intersting than the normal. Small price to pay for a small inconveniance, if you can even call it that. I used it a few times tonight, and showed my husband how it works and what it does, and was impressed by it. The tool does come with a stand, which is a plus, since these embosser tools can get hot. I turned it off every time I did a new stamp and emboss powder, and turned it back on again. I have heard the Uchida one has a habit of breaking on people after just one use. So I am impressed buy this Martha Stewart embossing tool product, and would recommend it to anyone just getting into this or someone who is just getting back into it after a few years.

Embossing Heat Tool May 03, 2011
By Kim A. Ward I took a long time researching the many different manufacturer's of embossing heating tools, as I hate to waste money, like anyone else. And I'm pleased to say it was well worth my while. I read so many bad reviews of other heating tools, but not one for Martha Stewarts. I love it. It's easy to use, and works beautifully. And of course, it looks great, too.

A good heat gun Mar 04, 2012
By Craige10 We do soy candles, and needed a heat gun to smooth out some pourings. I read the reviews, and this seemed like a good tool for the price. It's a bit better than good. It appears to be very heavy-duty, with a large cord. It performs perfectly every time we use it. We also use it to clean old wax out of glass containers. It does the job quickly and efficiently and saves a lot of time. I also do some electronics, and this should work well for heat-shrink tubing and the like.

Works Fantastic! Jul 11, 2012
By Nykki When I first got it I wasn't too sure about it. The first time I used it there was a little bit of smoke that came out of it with a burnt smell (I was just trying it out before I used it on a project) and that sent me into quite a panic. But I did some searching online and found that it's normal for the first few times turning it on to get the dust or whatever else off the heating coils...and it never smoked or had a burnt smell since. It has a nice long cord, that metal thing that props it up so you don't burn your surface, and has a little "hang over" part on the tip of the gun so it leaves a few inches between the tip of the gun and the metal inside. I have pretty small hands and carpal-tunnel and it doesn't aggravate me, which is good. There are little bumps on the side where you hold it so that helps too. It heats up fast... but before I hit my project with it I wait two seconds to make sure it's hot enough (but that's only if it's like the first use that day or quite a few hours past last use). I do love and and would buy it again.
P.S. ALWAYS remember to unplug anything that heats up when you are done like an embossing heat gun, curling iron, ect. I haven't ever had any accidents from leaving stuff plugged in, but I just wanted to say it just to say it.

Works well after many repeated uses! Apr 26, 2012
By evan8091 This embossing gun is great and the price is really reasonable. I have used it many times and it has not broken yet. It does curl the paper somewhat, however all embossing tools do. Highly recommend!
