Beautiful colors that match Martha' glitters Nov 18, 2012
By MissPammy I have a lovely set of Martha's glitters, which are excellent, by the way. But when I want to create small dots or thin lines, as when I'm writing, I like these glue pens. The colors are exactly the same as in the glitters, so everything matches. As another reviewer mentioned. you do not always get glitter when you squeeze the tube, especially at the very beginning. You just get clear glue. If you have the glitters, this is no problem; you can just pour glitter over the clear glue. This gives you a much more solid glittery look anyway. The other thing is that it takes some practice to do intricate designs, like writing. Learning to use it reminded me of learning how to decorate a cake. I would get an occasional unwanted blob, and sometimes I didn't get a line that was the same thickness all the way through. For that reason, I recommend not using the glitter glue directly on your scrapbook page until you're good at it. You can quickly swipe the blobs off your page, but there will be a little color and glitter left behind; it might work to take a slightly damp rag and wipe it the rest of the way off, but I haven't tried that yet. I use it on separate items like tags or papers that I then apply to my page. These issues are the reason I took off 1 star. Overall, though, they're terrific. The colors are great, the packaging is attractive and giftworthy for a crafter, and it's much easier to apply glitter to small or narrow areas with these than with most glues, plus you don't have glitter to clean up afterward unless you happen to get clear glue. Once it's on your page, you're not going to have lots of glitter floating all around, so it's neater. Another thing I like about these is that you can use your finger or a paintbrush to smudge them for a softer look; I do this on the edges of silk flower petals. Too, unlike glue pens, these give you a nice dimensional look that adds a lot more to the look of your page than flat glitter does. Overall, these are a great scrapbooking tool, and for me it was worth it to learn how to use them.

Stickles are better Dec 22, 2011
By E. Harris This was my first experience with MS glitter glue. It was just alright. The colors are nice and they do have a nice sparkle that coordinates with her other products, but I found that you don't always get an even stream of glitter coming out with the glue. Also, they aren't that easy to handle when half empty (I had to use one hand to squeeze the top to keep what was left of the glue down to the tip and the other hand to write). I really like Ranger Stickles better. There's more in the tube and the glitter glue is easier to dispense and use for crafting. I like that you get a bunch of colors with the MS pack, but there is just so little in the tubes. I guess I didn't read well enough to see the amount per tube, but I was surprised how small they were when I got them. However, the 3 star rating is for the other reasons listed above, not just their size. I would recommend them if you use other MS products and want your project to look coordinated or if you only have a small project to do. If you need a lot of the same color, go with Stickles.

By Manhattan This is some of the most beautiful glitter glue I've seen. It makes everything look magical with a simple touch. The tubes are easy to use, no mess, no complex caps, etc.
