Pretty Design, Particular about the Paper Aug 10, 2011

This punch makes a pretty design on the edge of the paper.
There isn't a corner punch that goes with this design nor does the punch fold up for storage.
As long as I use card stock I get a perfect design. If I use text weight paper the punch will hang and tear the paper. Since I know what kind of paper I can use with this punch I just keep that in mind when working on a project.
I like the design it makes and have used this punch a lot in the two weeks I have owned the punch. Very easy to operate, with the guide on the punch so that you can line up the design and get a great punch across the page. I can use one hand to press the lever down when punching paper.
Over all a nice punch as long as I use card stock paper.

I'm very torn about this review. I love the finished edge on this punch, but after the first paper I cut, it will not cut through any other sheets. I have tried thin paper, regular paper and cardstock but the punch catches and tears the paper. I am VERY disappointed.

This is my only edge cutter so I can't compare to other brands, but the paper does sometimes get clogged and it can be difficult to cut the paper unless it's the perfect thickness. I'm also disappointed that they don't make a corner cutter for this design, I would have bought a different one if I had realized this at the time of the purchase.

I read a review about how they sometimes don't work on a thin paper and its the first thing I tried when I got but I never had any problem with it. It cuts through and I am very pleased with.
This is my first Martha Stewart Edge Puncher and I Highly recommend it!

I love this tool. I bought it to make invitations for my daughter's wedding. I also used this to add a nice touch to invitations I made for a friend's baby shower. It's easy to use and makes a very crisp cut. I recently bought the double loop set and I'm having just as much fun with that one.
