4Cookie fun 101  Nov 19, 2006
By Toni "the bookworm"
It seems that this was the perfect time of the year to send out this DVD of cookie fun and magic!! Though the recipes on this DVD aren't limited just to the holidays, since it's almost December, nothing seems quite as Christmas-y in preparing for this wonderful holiday, than by baking up batches of some of the best cookies that you can think of, courtesy of Martha.

You are given 33 delicious cookie recipes that will cover the range of goodies that everyone will enjoy. As with all Martha's DVD's to date, they are taken from her former TV show segments, where you receive that one-on-one instruction from her beautiful kitchen. The colors are soft but vivid, and the sound quality is crystal clear per usual Martha standards of perfection. And as always, she gives recipe detail and attention to help you create these delicious sweets.

On top of the segments, you also have the always present option of downloading the actual recipes themselves as a hardcopy. It's a lovely compilation of all the recipes that you've seen in Martha's books and magazines, all in DVD format, so how much easier can it get? Naturally, there are other cookies that she has done throughout her former TV show, but these are the tastiest and the best that our Martha has to offer. And so they are:

Scottish Shortbread 3 Ways
Molasses Cookies
Peanut Butter Cookies
Fall Leaf Cookies (one of my favorite; they're "3-D" cookies)

Pecan and Caramel Shortbread
Chocolate Malt Cookies
Chocolate Mint Wafers
Linzer Sandwiches
Carrot Cake Cookies (it's like having mini-carrot cakes)

Dried Cherry Oatmeal Cookies
Lemon Drop Wafers
Chocolate Caramel Surprise
Lemon Cassis Bonbons (these are wonderful!)
Paul Bunyan Cookies
Alexis' Chocolate Chip Cookies
Chocolate Crackles

Fig Bars
Rocky Ledge Bars
Congo Bars
Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars

Fruit and Nut Cookies
French Butter Cookies (very light and very buttery)

Old-Fashioned Sugar Cookies (the standard for every cookie "chef")
Matcha Shortbread
Gingerbread People
Cocconut Pinwheels
Lime Sables

Langue de Chat
Meringue Daisies (perfect and beautful for leftover eggwhites!)
Lemon Thyme Wafers (a most elegant dinner sweet)

I enjoyed this DVD encyclopedia of some of her best cookies, and I hope there will be additional DVD's of the other cookies she has made over the years. But until that time, enjoy this tasty debut!

5Martha is fantastic  Mar 08, 2007
By Kenneth R. Wright "kroyer9928"
This is the Martha we all know and love. I really miss the old show format...the live show is great and spontaneous, but I really miss the practical and entertaining segments that I have saved on VHS and DVD for the last 12-13 years.

5All the Cookie's you could possibly want  Oct 13, 2014
By Angela Mcclelland
I love this video, Martha is pleasant to watch, she always does quality shows. She has some quest's making cookies and they're all good, one of my favorite cookies on this DVD is the Cherry Oatmeal cookies, which uses dried sour cherries. Martha says these cookies won't last in the cookie jar and she's right, they are so good I couldn't stop eating them. You will enjoy the journey in this DVD, taking you on a ride through many great recipes.
