1Rotary Cutter that doesn't  Mar 11, 2011
By Texasgigi
I purchased this rotary cutter with two (2) extra blades in shuttles. Nice idea, easy to change the shuttles, but so far I can not get the blade to come out of the shuttle to cut anything. If I press or try to press the silver button on the side nothing happens. If I push it forward, the entire shuttle comes out.

They are of absolutely no use to me.

Can you can tell me the answer to this situation?

1Disappointed in rotary cutter and lack of disclosure  Mar 26, 2012
By JBK
I purchased the Rotary Cutter some time ago and never used it. I had a project with a deadline this weekend and found that the rotary cutter must require Martha's special ruler to work. From what I can figure out, the blade will only retract if it is on Martha's special ruler. The packaging does not state that this ruler is REQUIRED to make the cutter work! This is false advertising as far as I am concerned. I bought the cutter so long ago it is not returnable. This is unconscionable and irresponsible to do this to Martha's consumers. I expect Martha Stewart to reimburse me for this cutter!

From the other reviews, it is obvious that others have the same problem with it.

1Useless  Sep 10, 2011
By bookworm
This rotary cutter is the worst I have ever used. The idea is that with the right amount of pressure the blade will be exposed and will cut. However, the spring is far to strong. To remedy this, I unscrewed the silver button as you would if you were replacing the blade. Then I took the whole thing apart and flipped the safety feature around so that only the blade sticks out. You can imagine how disappointed I was when I discovered that it's the blade itself that is crap. Sorry Martha, you couldn't have been farther off base with this product.

Well after reading the reviews on this cutter, I know now I should have read them before I purchased mine. I thought I was just ignorant to how to use this but I find out it needs a special ruler to work..Now I am stuck with mine also....
