I'm thinner and healthier than ever! Jun 11, 2008
By Kat, Fitness Trainer
I'm a huge fan of Dr. Jana Klauer! I loved her first book, "How the Rich Get Thin," and I equally love the second. Of course, not all the advice in the second book is new, but it's highly inspiring (and entertaining)! We all know that, to lose weight and keep it off, we have to eat less and move more. Any diet book will tell you that. But Dr. Klauer's client stories and strategies offer motivation, the most important ingredient for weight loss! I'm glad she emphasizes her nutrition shakes. I've been drinking her shakes for about a year now, and I've also been recommending them to all my fitness clients (I'm a personal trainer specializing in weight loss). It's DIFFICULT to lose weight, but Dr. Klauer's shakes have helped at least 80 percent of my clientle lose weight. That's a HUGE success, given 95% of diets result in failure.

The Park Avenue Nutrition Plan Jun 12, 2009
The Park Avenue Nutrition Plan has changed my life. My eating habits before I read this book were heading me into disaster. As a result of this book I have been able to change my life. It is a easy read motivating text and I would recommend this book to all people, but especially those who have had an eating disorder like I had. The book recommends the correct foods to eat plus exercise to keep ones life healthy. This book is not a diet. It is a simple way to change a person's life.

Great deal. . . May 24, 2011
This book is a great reminder of what we should be doing with the science behind why it makes us healthier. It may seem intimidating to fix artic char or grilled red snapper for lunch, but when reading - she gives you the options to substitute for healthier, more affordable protiens.

good advice Oct 16, 2010
This book was inexpensive, so I thought I would check it out. It has a lot of good advice on food, nutrients, how they effect the body and what causes a lot of our health problems. There are also some good ideas for meal planning. It was worth the money I paid. I plan to pass it on to someone else now that I have read it and taken a few notes. Again, purchased it along with another item from Amazon.com and paid no S&H, another bonus!

same information, new book May 09, 2008
I was excited to read this second book, but I was amazed at how similar the diet information was to the first book.... pretty much the same plan. The other information is common sense, such as when to exercise, etc.... I agree with the other comment posted.... This is not worth spending the money if you already have the first book, How the Rich Get Thin. There are better diet books with better advice on the market.
